Miracle
Miracle (AKA Bug) was born at Refuge Ranch. His mom, Raven, came to the ranch after arriving from an auction very ill. It was a miracle he survived -- hence his name. He is a beautiful and sometimes naughty three year old now that will soon finish his training and be ready for adoption to a forever home.
Pride
Pride is the newest resident of Refuge Ranch. He is a 20+ year old BLM Mustang gelding. Unfortunately, his owners that adopted him from the BLM didn't treat him well and he is terrified of people. Our goal is to get him to the point he can be handled easily.
Pumpkin
Pumpkin came to us from auction a couple years ago. She was terrified of people due to severe abuse. She is making progress in trusting and we hope she will eventually join our programs for kids or find her own family to love.
Raven
Raven is a Quarter Horse mare and she is the boss of Refuge Ranch. She came to us a few years ago by way of an auction purchase gone bad. She was very ill, but is now healthy, baby-free and ready to learn. She spent her life being a brood mare, but is so smart. We look forward to seeing how she does in her training.
Red
Red is an Arabian gelding. He and his brother Sheydan came to the ranch two years ago from a neglect situation. He has come a long way but is still very traumatized. Red remains very reactive to new situations and outside stimuli. He is not a candidate for riding or adoption.
Sheydan

Six of them still live here at the ranch with her. She has some arthritis which requires medication when its cold but is healthy otherwise.
Pig Sisters
Pigs are very smart, but also very territorial and fight even with their siblings. Now that they are adults our pigs live in small groups. These are three of the sisters -- Petunia, Fanny and Daisy. They have lots of room for outside play and inside sleeping -- their favorite activity.
