ABOUT US
Refuge Ranch began in 2012. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping hurting animals and impacting people's lives in a positive way.
The Ranch provides a healing place for people of all ages. Each guest will experience ranch life and learn to care for a variety of sanctuary animals. As a result, visitors develop a new level of compassion for others and an increased sense of self confidence that impacts their ability to cope with the challenges of their lives.
Kids between the ages of 6-16 come to the Ranch from across the High Desert and Greater Coachella Valley. Program participants include young people living in group homes, foster care or private referrals from pastors, educators and other community leaders. Children in any kind of crisis including families in divorce, grief, financial hardship and other challenging situations are also welcome.
Adults come to the Ranch with different backgrounds. Some are seniors battling depression issues that need a place to belong. Others have some sort of trauma or grief they are working on. In any case, all are welcome to come and work with the animals and experience the peace and fun that Refuge Ranch offers.
